Glastonbury as a BKF Volunteer (2013)

My FIRST and awesome experience as a BKF volunteer in Glastonbury was incredible and I would certainly highly recommend it to anyone who has a passion for music and helping the less fortunate.  Secondly BKF is the charity to volunteer for as it has tremendous objectives impacting on the lives of the less fortunate!!!!!

My other wow, wow factor was in meeting Michael Eavis, this was a great privilege.  Other privileges included being in one of the best camp sites with our own hot showers, being provided with two meals a day and of course our special wrist bands!

Finally, volunteering as part of the recycling crew, in itself, was a very rewarding experience. Not only did I get the personal satisfaction of seeing the festival goers go on to a clean field every morning, but I also met a bunch of amazing people with whom I had a lot in common.  This meant that every day I was looking forward to a great shift working with them.

The thing that everyone has in common in Glastonbury is their love for music and having fun. The vibe was incredible, the music was out of this world, the weather was great (but don’t bet on it being that good every year!).

I look forward to seeing you there next year!!!
